The Career Foundations STEM programme supports Londoners to find their perfect Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths role. Through a combination of training to acquire the necessary qualifications, and job support from one-to-one mentors, we can help you take that first step towards a fulfilling career in STEM.
Our programme focuses on extending your qualifications. For example, maths is a highly sought after skillset needed to access some of the most innovative, interesting and well-paid jobs in the UK. You will have access to award-winning tutors who will work with you on a one-to-one basis to achieve the qualification you need to obtain great job opportunities.

We have a range of career opportunities available across Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. All of which are looking for the right people to build their business.
Our programme is a unique opportunity for you to obtain the right qualification to access amazing job opportunities, whilst being supported back into work. This is a two year programme during which you will supported to obtain employment, education and training. In addition you will be given a one-to-one mentor who will help you develop a range of skills including CV building, interviewing advice and support applying for your ideal role. You will also have access to a range of amazing job roles through our network of companies, including some of the largest and most innovative in the UK.

Exclusively for Londoners
Aged 16+, living in London and currently unemployed?
This programme is open to:
16-24 year olds who are not in education, employment or training.
25+ year olds who are unemployed or economically inactive and are one or more of the following:
Women
Parents or carers
Persons with a disability (including learning difficulties or health problems)
Facing complex barriers to work
Age 50+
You cannot have a maths qualification Level 2 or above. This is equivalent to a C grade (Level 4) in GCSE Maths.

As a government-funded provider, our sole aim is to help those most affected get back into work. In London, there is currently a shortage of STEM qualified candidates which we want to address. There lies an opportunity to upskill and fill these vacancies.

Am I eligible for a place?
- Aged 16-24 years and are Not in Education, Employment or Training
- Aged 25+ who are unemployed or economically inactive.
- Aged 50+

Will you provide me with any equipment?
Yes, if you do not have access to a computer or internet we can help provide you with the equipment you need to join the programme.

What qualification will I achieve?
We will work with you to achieve up to a level 2 in maths. We can also provide you with an ICDL level 3.
We also work with external partners for other qualifications to meet your needs.

How will my career coach support me during the programme?
Our Coaches are experts who really understand the issues you face in today’s job market. They will work with you to restore your confidence and support you throughout your programme.

Who do I go to if I have a complaint or safeguarding concerns?
At the onboarding stage of the programme we will go through our internal procedures and policies so you know what to do should a problem arise.

This programme is part of the European Social fund and Greater London authority COVID recovery programme. It is entirely free for you to participate.
