The Career Foundations Programme
Helping you to get the work experience to land the perfect role.
We understand the impossible situation faced by most young people today. You need work experience to get a job, but you can’t get experience without a job. That’s why we’ve designed the Career Foundations programme, to exclusively support 19-24 year olds. This is an 8 week programme with an exciting placement in the industry of your choice.
A work preparation and experience programme for everyone
Work with the most exciting and innovative companies in the UK
We have a range of exciting placements available now – including events, marketing, film production assistants, data analysts and technology development.
Our 8 week programme is open to everyone. How you did at school is irrelevant to us. We’ve built our programme to provide you with the skills you need in today’s workplace. Over the 8 weeks we will work with you to build your confidence, teach you how to write the perfect CV and shine at interviews, and fill any skills gaps that you think are barriers for you. You will be mentored by business experts and are invited onto a two week work placement in the role and company of your choice. This placement could lead to further opportunities, including an apprenticeship or job offer.

We hope we’ve answered any questions below. If not, please get in touch by completing the form at the bottom of this page.
Am I eligible for a place?
If you are aged 19-24, eligible to work in England, and not currently in employment we’d love to hear from you. Unfortunately we can’t accept applications from those with qualifications higher than a Level 3 or two A-levels.
What kind of work placement can I expect?
We work with you from day one to understand where your passions lie and what your ideal role and/or company is. This helps us to ensure we give you the right opportunity.
What IT skills will you help me with?
We will build your confidence when using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. These are the core IT skills most employers look for. If you are already proficient – great, we can cover other things during your programme.
How will my Coach support me?
Our Coaches are experts who really understand the issues you face in today’s job market. They will work with you to restore your confidence and support you throughout your programme – including during your two-week work placement.
Who do I go to if I have a complaint or safeguarding concerns?
At the onboarding stage of the programme we will go through our internal procedures and policies so you know what to do should a problem arise.
Will I be working near my home?
We will always find you a work placement within an hour’s journey from your home. Some of our placements can also be delivered remotely.
"This programme is the best thing I've done for ages and the coaches are amazing. I can definitely recommend this opportunity." Sam, Learner
